@The_Industrialist Wish we could find someone to do repairs and check safety of the Atlantic Queen we have in the kitchen (came with the house). Probably cheaper to get another woodstove. LOL
@Buteo it’s unfortunate that finding qualified knowledgeable service for these old girls is such a rare thing. Bit of a dying breed and most online resources aren’t that good. I’ve been blessed to be around them for most my days and coupled with being a metal worker, the preventive maintenance is almost like second nature.
So long as the castings aren’t cracked, the dampening mechanisms are solid and in working order, and it’s air tight you’ve prob got a working piece of gold.
