Pt received the Moderna vaccine. Experienced very sore arm pain for hours. Put ice pack on shot area. THEN 7-8 days later, arm hurt, Pt rubbed shot area & got splotchy area & swelling size of softball. Immediately took Benadryl 25, pepcid, and iced area. Swelling & pain & splotch subsided. Pt went to web site for cdc and found where numerous others had reported same symptoms 7-8 days out. No antibotic taken. When received vaccine, people not being told can see reaction 7 days out or what to do.
