Holy crap! Yesterday we learned that turmeric root processing companies in SE Asia add LEAD CHROMATE to their machines to turn the turmeric more orange. So this is lead poisoning. Well today I talked to my chemist at my lab, and she informed me this lead chromate will form CHROMIC ACID very quickly, which is HIGHLY toxic and cancer causing, which means many turmeric products are filled with cancer chemicals!
