@HealthRanger We planted potatoes in buckets and also some directly in the ground. Ones planted in the soil are growing; nothing from the buckets. Everything we grow is trial and error to see what works and what doesn't. I hate to think we have to depend on what we produce to survive, because some of it isn't going to be fruitful. Everyone says, "Plant a garden!". No kidding! It's just not as easy as it is made out to be.
