Dear Lord, our Heavenly Father, we thank You that You desire to spend time with us. Your word says if we draw near to You, You will draw near to us. Thank you Lord God for the opportunity of worship, for the freedom to be amongst Your family, meeting together in Your presence and in the warmth of Your embrace. Thank You that in prayer we can put aside, the evils of this world and rest upon the peace of Your Kingdom. Thank you that we can bring to your cross all the hurts and fears that trouble us, and leave them there, knowing that Your strength and assurance are all that we need. We thank You, and as we do these things, give us a patient spirit, a pure heart, a contented mind, and wise behavior that we may emulate Jesus in Your eyes. In Jesus name we pray, Amen
