61 years ago, Bob Dylan publicly and viciously exposed the Military Industrial Complex in detail (vid in post). Where are artists like that today?
In 1963, not long after Eisenhower warned of a hostile takeover of the US Government by the weapons and munitions industry, the most popular musical artist in the country at the time, like, as famous with the youth as Taylor Swift is today, put his neck on the line and told everyone the detailed truth about why America really goes to war, why it sends its young people to get horribly disfigured, mentally destroyed and murdered by complete strangers (while murdering strangers themselves) in his song Masters of War. That man was Bob Dylan, and dear god do we need more of that spirit of truth, bravery, ethics and honesty in the present.
