The French Company Solvay pushing for a 500% duty on all Vanillin from China. They are the only Company making this stuff in the US, so they are using the tensions between China and US to form a monopoly. Expect pricing for many goods to go up significantly for a minimum of 10 years. This will harm many companies though most importantly the consumers that are already feeling the burn from inflation.
