Another Independence Day approaches in America. A day that represents FREEDOM. A day that celebrates the freedoms that are provided to Americans in our founding documents. Freedom of religion, freedom of speech, freedom of the press, and freedom of assembly, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, and more.
But if we've learned anything in the last few years, we now understand the importance of a freedom that's NOT guaranteed by the Constitution.
Medical Freedom of Choice.
Choice.
Such a simple word.
To choose: To select from a number of possibilities. To pick. To prefer. To decide.
Freedom.
A much more complex concept.
Exemption from external control, interference, regulation.
Freedom of choice.
“Freedom of choice describes an individual's opportunity and autonomy to perform an action selected from at least two available options, unconstrained by external parties” (from that bastion of “truth,” Wikipedia).
What is the importance of being ENSURED Medical Freedom of Choice?
Because if it's not ensured, it will surely be taken away.

Medical Freedom of Choice was definitely not ensured during the 1970s. In fact, RNC’s origin story is based on the horrendous treatment of Dr. John A. Richardson, MD, after he made the decision to use Laetrile, a compound derived from the lowly Apricot Seed, to help patients who were fighting cancer. Dr. Richardson believed his patients had the right to Medical Freedom of Choice.
