If anyone else besides a very dear family member had shared this tweet I would have scrolled down without thinking twice. But I just had to reply to this nonsense:
I have never seen so many logical fallacies in so few words. If oil is worthless why are we still paying for it? You meant to say that oil is a commodity that fluctuates in price based on supply and demand? I think most of us already knew that. And that demand was artificially stifled by governments all over the world this year?
Health care has to be public? We have the entire province of Ontario in lockdown officially because hospitals have reached a tipping point in capacity, our public health is so bad that 150 people in ICU with covid (out of only 415 ICU beds in the entire province) shut down Ontario with about 14 million in population. During the entire year of 2020 they couldn't figure out how to concurrently treat people with other life threatening health conditions such as heart desease and cancer etc...
This is dismal public healthcare, nothing to be proud of. Suicides on the rise, family abuse on the rise, overdoses on the rise, I can go on and on....but the only measure taken into accout when it comes to health being public is the number of covid cases, go figure.
Most people I have encountered(with few exceptions) have lowered productivity working from home, and those who can't work at home are more concerned about getting paid period, not with getting paid more.
