@HealthRanger I agree Israel should not kill the innocent. However in history God did command genocide which is hard for many people to comprehend. God told Israelites to kill all Canaanites, all men, women and children, when He gave them the land. But Joshua did not complete the job. Some Canaanites lived among them and continued to worship idols and practice sexual rites with temple priestesses. According Britannica, Canaan is the land of Israel. Is Israel trying to finish Joshua's job? I don't know.
