@cmcsmen Both my parents were born in Chicago in the 1930s and 40s it was an industrial powerhouse among many other Midwest cities. They along with their peers were incredibly talented and capable people. I tell people that generation whether they were raised in the city, suburbs, or country there's really not much they could not do. Most places were safe. They later met as neighbors in a close by old suburban town. Their bedroom windows used to literally face each other that's how they got to better know each other LOL
But sadly that City has always been a terribly corrupt with lots of Voter Fraud.

The Simple Things Are What Matters
Life can get complicated with our fancy cars and $4 lattes.
We have to strive to stay above the noise.
It's in the simple things, and moments in time, that make the greatest impact on our lives.
Learn from the poor about how to enjoy life in the moment.

The harsh sunlight and shadow play beautifully dance on mild winter bare trees, revealing nature's hidden textures on the enchanting woodland trail at Homewood Izaak Walton Preserve in Illinois. This captivating photograph is expertly toned, inviting us to contemplate the interplay of deep blue skies and the warm embrace of the earth. It whispers tales of tranquility and invites us to explore the mysteries of the natural world. Copyright 2020 Frank J Casella. A Year of Silence
"The hush of stillness beckons us to pause and reflect on the chaos of our lives. Yet, in our fast-paced world, we often overlook the quiet beauty that surrounds us. We fail to embrace the tranquil wonder of our surroundings because we are too consumed with noise and constant movement.
It’s no wonder then that we have a scarcity of two vital components in our society: silence and mercy. Let’s take a moment to delve into the depths of these two concepts."

“Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. Behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name him Jesus. He will be great and will be called Son of the Most High."

The message of Christmas is that God forgives, and never reminds us of past failures.
As it says in 1 Corinthians 13, love keeps no record of wrongs. Of what value is it?
All of us have sin in our past. What is important is how we treat each other today, not how we did in the last month or year.
Concentrate on your end goal to live a Christlike life (Philippians 3). And bring reconciliation between each other.
Our job, if we are Christians, is to get each other to heaven.

People and Skyscrapers ---
"Life, like skyscrapers, we are created, serve our purpose, then move out of the way for the next era.
Because we are humans, though, we have the benefit of absorbing the beauty of the buildings we create.
Some buildings last longer than we do. Though, if we play our cards right, the impact we make while we are alive can last for generations …. longer than buildings.
Life is God's gift to us, what we do with our lives is our gift to God."
