Last time a M 8 earthquake occurred was on 26 May 2019, also after Mercury, Venus and Neptune lined up. Apparently, the fast moving planets (Mercury, Venus) against the slowest moving planets (Uranus, Neptune) generates a lot of electromagnetic energy in the solar system, which, if tectonic pressure is critical, releases that stress, which I believe happens first and foremost on the atomic level. Additional large seismic activity is possible in the Mediterranean (Italy, Greece, Crete, Turkey). This is antipode activity between New Zealand, Kermandec and the Mediterranean.
