As great as this would be, I don't believe this story. First, it shouldn't be drinking as the reason, but rather her position on abortion, especially late term, and her positions on alternative lifestyles and child mutulation. That was the old Catholic Church. Second, the current Pope would allow any of her activities which go along with his actions and never issue such edicts.
@howell Maybe, they want her to sober up so they can understand her confessions before they condemn her again for abortion stance.
