@jrconnolly When I came to Christ I was 60yrs old and suicidal. 10 years vicodin from a doctor who probably finished last in his class and a world that had been lying to me since JFK. One of the books that woke me up was 'The Case for Christ'. Was written in a secular sort of way, I think it was the columnist Jim Bishop. A strait forward argument for the existence of Jesus Christ, the man as well as the idea. Since then, It's only grown stronger for me. I've found what I need.

@arjayem Christian organizations do not interfere with Government because the Government controls them. It is just a Business enterprise, whether they realize it or not.

If you don't look into what I am saying, you're no better than the brainwashed liberals.

@jrconnolly Belong to no church and attend Bible study w/five other men for past six years. The Word is many things to many people and it has taken my breath away at times. Organized religion is poison in our world today, and Catholics in particular are in for quite a rude awakening. The Vatican is done.
When Jesus gave the 'Sermon on the Mount' he signed His death warrant. Then, they wrote Him OUT of history as best they could. One Book survived.

@arjayem I have been a born-again Christian for 25 years. I have LOGOS software—over 60K worth of bibles, commentaries, etc. I have been studying the Bible, elders at my Church, etc. God showed me the fakeness. I traveled to many places in the Navy and spent time at many different Christian Churches. I got to see the hypocrisy, the brainwashing of Christians, and how we are manipulated and lied to. GOD HAS REVEALED TO ME THAT IT IS ALL FAKE. It took me up until now to Realize ALL even Jesus

@jrconnolly Buddha was a smart man I'm told, and when he listed his precepts for life #1 was, "Life is difficult." It's not meant to be easy, as nothing of value ever is. Christianity for all it's warts, has in it everything a man/woman will need for a successful life in harmony w/others. Where two or more are gathered in my name I am there. That's how churches form. They just got too big for their britches.
Besides, Jesus and I confer on a regular basis, and that makes Him very real for me.

@arjayem, I agree; all pacify us. Jesus was authentic for me too. I thought I was conferring with Him regularly. But what I found was that I was consulting with GOD. God within Me. Jesus is the "Sun of God," "The New and Everlasting Sun," Jesus the SUN -Jesus the Sun. the Way, Truth, and Life. If the Sun doesn't rise, you will die. The Sun is the only way to survive. Without the SUN, all will perish. More than a dozen more pagan religions believe in the resurrection, born of a virgin, etc.

@jrconnolly Sage, that's a battleship of words in a rowboat of thought. The concept of the Trinity tells me that I won't know until I know. You already know so what's the beef? Try to live for 24hrs the way Jesus lived for 33yrs. I can't do it, that's why He's tops for me. If it's fiction, it sure fooled me. I'm all in brother, and happy to be here watching the wheels go round and round.

@arjayem You're entitled to your beliefs, and I respect that. You love to insult, though. When people's beliefs are threatened, they tend to attack. You can not even prove there was a Jesus. You believe what you're told, blind faith. There is only one GOD within me. His name is unknown. Anything that you set your mind to becomes your reality for you. Simple as that. Some bind you and some set you free. Jesus binds you, limits you, and you wonder why.
