This is not possible, if the red dwarf star does exist it has an established orbital path with the sun, that means it would never come that close to the sun as it's mass would adversely affect the sun's core and path. The solar system would have never been stable long enough for us to reach this level of life.

Everyone should be far more concerned with Dane Wigingtons evidence of UVC destroying 90% of Plankton in the Atlantic ocean, if UVC continues to get worse, I'd expect O2 dropping off in our future.
