Just purchased a half steer grown locally and processed by nearby butcher. A fairly large outlay but considering you know the source of the meat and you’re supporting local businesses that may become a valuable resource if our commercial supply gets compromised, well worth it . If you are not aware of any source in your area, I suggest you do some research.

Had not, but had several reliable references. Positive all. Usually local processors will sell you some small amount so you make your judgment.
