There are two different aspects to adress here. The first is fear. What is fear. Fear is a negative rush of energy that doesnt get utilized to move the body to action. Instead it has a paralysing effect. The second aspect is the sum of these fears. On an individual level you might experience total paralysis. Such manifests itself in depression and the like. However all fear that exists is not personal. Others have fear and we are well aware. We are not all NPC's haha. So on a fundamental level
the sum of all fear would include all people and as it does cause paralysis or depression to the individual it can effect a population. When fear is the major operating factor of a population than it becomes a portal for negative entities to live amongst us.
When in a spiritual battle the best defense is being accepting of death which is the root cause of fear. You can free yourself by coming to terms with death and accepting it as another part of life.
