This planet can support much more people. The problem is the people suck. We are going to end up killing ourselves. Our biggest advantage is that we still have some rain forest left. In a perfect world the entire planet would be covered in jungle. No fires. No floods. The more biological life we have on the land the more ice that can melt. With no biological life we cannot retain this water and it will cause the oceans to rise.
