@ListenUp Thanks! So far I like the hydroponics. Doing well with lettuce and greens. I find it easier to replace the water and adjust the food levles than in soil. Learning curve, obviously. I am prepared to try Mike's "off-grid" solution if needed, but pumps and lights it is for me so far. I would agree that so far, what I have grown/eaten would be expensive. But it is evening out by the day.
Thanks for the well wishes! Sending them right back to you!
@ListenUp Hey, thanks for the tip and letting me know that is successful! I did pick off the first few I saw, they are rather beautiful! Sadly, I missed two of the suckers. I will try again next year. For the winter, though, moving to hydroponics inside. New plants are looking good so far!
Anyone doing their own composting? My current plan is to use a plastic container inside (to collect for a few days) and then move it outside. I want to DIY it - neighbors won't appreciate a free standing situation. I watched a lot of videos and have ideas, but nothing beats conversing with someone who has actually done it. Tips most welcome. Thanks in advance! #gardening #composting #soil
My very first title - written initially in 2005 and self-published 2015. Some things I have learned over the last two years have freaked me out with regard to the similarities - big pharma, nannites, frequencies, and more. If you choose to read, hope you enjoy!

If you are a newbie gardener (like me) and tomatoes are in your garden, I highly recommend you research the Hornworm. Ate my entire plants in 24 hours. My tomatoes are now inside with the hydroponics. Now if I can just keep the cats from knocking them off the vine. I'm thinking I may need to start a new book - "Gardening Disasters - Everything You Probably Shouldn't Do!" #food
@holistic @beerrs Several books available that focus on foraging - what is safe to eat and what is not. My foraging journey started with digging up the dandelions in my yard and toasting the root to make dandelion coffee, using the rest in a salad. It was a lot of work, but totally worth it!
