If our society will go through a cataclysm, we are doomed.
Who knows how to build a house or a hammer or a simple tool? Who can hunt? Who knows how to fish? How to grow food? Our grains are all hybrids. We are all unable to live without the support of technology. There is very, very few people who have many different life-saving skills. Most have only a little part of one skill - the part required for their job.
It's not enough to survive. Not as a single person, let alone as a species.
