Abraham Lincoln quote from Charles Chiniquy-50 years int the Church of Rome
"This war would never have been possible without the sinister influence of the Jesuits. We owe it to Popery that we now see our land reddened with the blood of her noblest sons. Though there were great differences of opinion between the South and the North, on the question of slavery, neither Jeff Davis nor any one of the leading men of the Confederacy would have dared to attack the North, had they not relied on the promises of the Jesuits, that under the mask of Democracy, the money and the arms of the Roman Catholic, even the arms of France, were at their disposal, if they would attack us. I pity the priests, the bishops and the monks of Rome in the United States, when the people realize that they are, in great part, responsible for the tears and the blood shed in this war; the later the more terrible will the retribution be. I conceal what I know, on that subject, from the knowledge of the nation; for if the people knew the whole truth, this war would turn into a religious war, and it would, at once, take a tenfold more savage and bloody character, it would become merciless as all religious wars are. It would become a war of extermination on both sides.
SHOULD CHRISTIANS KILL IN SELF-DEFENSE?
By Preston Sprinkle - Fight a Christian Case for Nonviolence.
"Interestingly, many famous theologians, such as Augustine, who were okay with killing in war believed that a Christian should not kill in self-defence. This view is less prevalent today. Most people assume that if someone is trying to kill you, you are justified in killing that person. But does the Bible support this?
In every instance where the New Testament portrays or discusses someone facing a personal physical threat, there is no clear allowance to use violence to defend oneself. Again, as we've seen throughout the New Testament, Christians are to follow their Lord in not violently resisting evil people, in turning the other check, in going the extra mile, and in never retaliating with evil for evil. These are all personal attacks. There is nothing in the New Testament that advocates self-defense, yet many passages place great value on suffering when wrongfully attacked.
If you are a Christian and somebody kills you, what do you lose, anyway? "To die," says Paul, "is gain" (Phil. 1:21). We are guaranteed resurrection life, and our attacker is given an opportunity - like Jeffrey Dahmer (who came to Christ in prison) to accept this gift. If an attacker kills me because I refused to use violence, thereby imitating my resurrected Lord, I cannot see how this would be a bad thing."
Completely diabolical....
On Thursday, the WHO announced an agreement with Israel for limited pauses in the fighting to allow the polio vaccination programme to take place.

The drive comes after the first confirmed case of the disease in 25 years was discovered in Gaza.
