@rriemersma In my opinion, the only "pure" version is the one that was originally written and in that language which was Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek. When I read a specific verse or chapter, I like to read it in different translation versions and if the different versions are significantly different then I like to read the original words and research the translation of those original words. Unfortunately even the KJV is not pure as consider the word "Hell" in the KJV came from ~4 different words in the original writings (Sheol, Gehenna, Hades, Tartarus) and each of those 4 words had different meanings but all translated to the one word being Hell. There are other similar examples as well. @rriemersma @crazyat I'm not by any means putting down KJV. Almost all of us use it. And Alexander Scourby a Greek-American is by far the best Bible narrator of all time. He used KJV.
