@Mae_Mae_H Who is to say a holder of silver will use a bar of silver to buy a loaf of bread.. . how about a side of beef? Taking physical possession of gold and silver may be smart to counter the hyper inflation caused by the feds printing money. There is also discussion of abandoning printed currency in favor of digital money. However, digital currency means every transaction will be seen by the govt, plus accounts can be turned off if a person isnt behaving to the liking of government.
@Mae_Mae_H I agree that translations matter....New World Translation as well as paraphrase translations at worst change meaning or minimally weaken the message. But I use ESV and RNIV and dont believe changes were made nefariously to meet some 10% rule for copyright. Complete concordances have Hebrew and Greek lexicons. Checking these you can see a Greek or Hebrew word can be used in multiple ways. What I find is parallel translation readings (KJV ESV RNIV) enriches understanding.
@Mae_Mae_H I agree versions matter. For example, the New World translation was altered changing scripture that proves Jesus is God. But I disagree with your analysis regarding Genesis 7:1 and the named translations above. Whether it reads "come" or "go" God IS omnipresent meaning everywhere at all times. Using your argument about KJV, in Genesis 7:16b, "And the Lord shut him in", suggests that God is not inside with Noah. But God is omnipresent and was both inside and outside. Do parallel study.
"And what I do I will continue to do in order to undermine the claim of those who would like to claim that in their boasted mission they work on the same terms as we (Paul and the apostles) do. For such men are false apostles, de eitful workmen, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as "an angel of light. So it is no surprise if his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness." 2 Corinthians 11:12-15
"for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus." Roman's 3:23-24
