Guess what, folks? PCR tests are qualitative, not quantitative. And not only does this mean PCR can't be used to diagnose an illness, it ALSO MEANS that so-called "non-GMO" testing is largely invalid because of the claims that foods are "non-GMO" if they contain less than 0.9% GMOs. That's a quantitative expression, and PCR can't determine that. Thus, ANY detection of GMOs in a food could mean it's all GMO, but that they just didn't cycle the PCR instrument enough times.
@HealthRanger Ha! Our societies are so rotten - we have to clear everything up starting at the constitution and God! Everything. (Santa published your Situation Update Dec03)
@HealthRanger
SERIOUSLY!!!You mean we are trying to be healthy buying non GMO and we are still being poisoned!!! What can we trust????
@HealthRanger I don't really understand the whole qualitative/quantitative thing and how or why it would not work. And what are cycles in this context.
One thing is for certain, the whole "Non GMO Verified" thing seems to be totally meaningless.
I did watch the Prep with Mike video about sprouting and started doing that. It's so freakin' simple and I love eating fresh sprouts now with Tamari.
I also bought some books on Koji fermentation and salt/smoke curing.
What a great time to learn this.
